Marine Stewardship Scholarship - $1,500
The Marine Stewardship Scholarship supports students who are passionate about marine conservation and the health of our ocean. It seeks to empower future leaders by funding research, education, and advocacy efforts that promote responsible marine resource management. Recipients are selected based on their dedication to preserving marine ecosystems and innovative approaches to solving environmental challenges.
- Must be a high school senior or college student.
- Must be a Hawaiʻi resident.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA (Please provide your high school or college transcript for verification)
- One (1) Letter of recommendation from someone in your field
- Must include a resume or summary of work experience
- Pictures/videos/media showing your leadership in action (optional).
Eligibility
To expand our impact and uplift new members of our community each year, individuals who have previously received a Waikīkī Beach Services scholarship are not eligible for future scholarship awards. Applicants may apply to only one scholarship category per program year and should select the category that best aligns with their primary area of focus or study.
Community Activism Scholarship- $1,500
The Community Activism Scholarship recognizes students committed to driving positive change through grassroots organizing and advocacy. It supports individuals who demonstrate leadership in addressing social, economic, or environmental issues within Hawai’iʻs communities. Recipients are chosen for their passion, impact, and vision for creating lasting change.

The Hawai’i Tradesman Scholarship supports students pursuing careers in skilled trades vital to Hawaii’s local industries, such as construction, plumbing, and electrical work. It aims to empower future tradespeople who demonstrate dedication to their craft and a commitment to strengthening Hawaii’s workforce. Recipients are chosen for their passion, technical aptitude, and desire to contribute to the islands’ sustainable growth.
