  • Ages & Format
    • Kids must be able to swim at least 25 yards unassisted.
    • Surf Lessons: Children 12 and under must take a private one-on-one surf lesson for safety reasons.
    • SUP Lessons: Children 13 years and under may not participate in stand up paddling lessons for safety reasons.
  • Education & Experience
    • Lessons last 1 hour and 15 minutes, including a 15-minute on-land safety briefing.
    • All instructors are lifeguard/CPR certified and trained to ensure a safe and fun experience.
  • Life Jackets

Outrigger Canoe Surfing: A Hawaiian Experience for All Ages

    • Riders must be at least 5 years old. Young children will ride safely, held by an adult.
    • Participants must be 13 or older to help paddle the canoe.
  • Safety & Life Vests
    • Life jackets are not required by law for outrigger canoe surfing.
    • Life jackets for adults and children are available upon request.
  • Experience Features
    • Canoe rides last up to 30 minutes, depending on conditions.
    • Each ride is guaranteed three waves.
    • Canoes hold up to six people, typically with four paddlers and two riders. Minimum booking is for three people.
