For nearly 20 years, Aaron Char has been more than a beachboy at Waikīkī Beach Services—he has been a source of light, kindness, and unconditional aloha to everyone who meets him. Whether he is on the sand, in the water, or sharing a quiet moment with a guest, Aaron has a rare gift for making people feel seen, safe, and cared for.
Aaron lives with the heart of a Hawaiian, always giving back to the ʻāina and his community through hands-on beach cleanups and volunteer work with Sustainable Coastlines Hawaiʻi. His deep love for the ocean and the land lifts the mana of everyone around him, and his smile has comforted countless visitors and friends from around the world.
Beyond the beach, Aaron is a talented artist who shares his hopeful view of Hawaiʻi through bold colors and strong lines. His art reflects the beauty he sees in people and the world—and reminds us that we are stronger together.
