As a part of our 70th anniversary celebration, we’re giving back to the place that has given us so much. Join us for a community Beach Cleanup Day on the beach fronting The Royal Hawaiian Hotel. Let’s work together to mālama ʻāina and keep Waikīkī beautiful for future generations.

This is a free, family-friendly event open to all ages. To get started, simply meet us on the sand and check in with our team under the brown umbrellas. Buckets and gloves will be provided, and participants who turn in a bucket of collected debris will receive a free Waikīkī Beach Services 70th Anniversary commemorative tote bag while supplies last.

We recommend wearing UV-protective clothing and swimwear suitable for ocean activities, bringing a towel, and using reef-safe sunscreen.

The outrigger canoe is one of the safest ocean vessels and is one of the only ocean vessels NOT required by the U.S. Coast Guard to carry life jackets. People ages 5+ and of all abilities can participate in this activity, which makes it ideal for families and large groups. Experience the thrill of surfing from the safety of the outrigger canoe!

*Minimum of 3, maximum of 6 paddlers. Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis*

Safety is our utmost priority; please note that varying weather and/or surf conditions may influence our staff to reduce the passenger load per canoe.*
