Surfing Lessons
Waikiki is the home of surfing, it's where it all began.
No other place has the history, the atmosphere and our friendly beachboys, who'll explain everything you need to know about where to lay on the board, paddling out, how to pick up a wave and of course how to ride the wave.
It's the most fun you'll ever have!

Learning to surf at Waikiki is a unique and fun experience, the waves are normally gentle rollers offering the novice a smooth long ride. There are no vicious undertows or towering dumping waves and the turquoise Pacific Ocean beckons you to enjoy it's warm, clean water.
Being taught how to do it by our friendly Beachboys is the only way to go. You'll be under their watchful eyes and safety is always their major concern.
Group lessons are $40 per person. Private lessons are $75 per person. However, if you sign up for a group lesson and no one else signs up when the time comes, then you can have a one on one instruction for the group rate.
The lesson includes the board and instructors time (about 1 1/2 hours). Includes pre-water instructions. During this time you are told how to handle the board, how and when to stand, how to return to the prone position after the wave ride, how to protect yourself in the surf and when falling off the board, and other surfing safety and etiquette. Lessons are taken throughout the day up till 2:00 pm it is advisable to take them as early as possible to avoid the heavy daily surf traffic in the water. These times are usually between 7am and 9am. It is a 7 day a week activity weather permitting. After your lesson you may rent your board for $7.00 per hour.
All instructors are state certified and carry a surfboard instructor's license. It is normally referred to as the "blue card". When signing up for lessons, it is advisable to always ask to see the instructor's blue card. This will make sure that your instructor is well versed with the art of surfing, the surfing area, CPR, and life-saving.
